Under a blanket of sunshine the excited group of kids were
treated to a fun day of learning and activities until the clouds
came over and the skies opened up mid afternoon.
The steady rain didn't deter the youngsters who had a ball
slipping around in the wet conditions.
"The kids had a ball today," said Ben Schodel, Queensland
coordinator for Honda Motokids.
"The rain just threw them a new challenged and they tackled it
head on. I know the kids will sleep well tonight!"
The recent event is the fifth running of the new Honda Motokids
in Queensland this year and the twelfth to be run nationally. Event
director Lee Hogan is overwhelmed with the response to the new kids
program.
"A lot of planning went into the new program before we launched
it at Barrabool early in the year," said Hogan.
"We believed it would work well but you can't be 100% sure when
you are introducing something new to the industry. It's certainly
already exceeded my expections."
The Honda Motokids Program provides ride days combining free
riding, games, activities and coaching drills while also providing
information on how to choose your first motorcycle, how to join a
club, where to apply for a competition license and a number of
other services needed to get started in the sport of dirt
biking.
Honda have the full range of mini fun bikes there on the day for
kids to try or you can ride your own mini fun bike.
